Applying to Benedictine as a Homeschooled Student
Homeschooled students go through the same simple application process as their peers from brick-and-mortar schools. You and your family have completed the hard work to prepare you for college. Now there are just 3 final steps left to complete.
- Complete your Benedictine College application. Our application is free and easy to complete. Be sure to identify yourself as a homeschooled student. If you can’t find your curriculum provider in the drop-down box, or you design your own curriculum, select Home School Clearinghouse as your high school.
- Send Benedictine College your standardized test score, if you have one. Benedictine accepts the SAT, ACT and the CLT. However, keep in mind that Benedictine is a test-optional college, meaning that a standardized exam score is not required for admission. Speak with your Admission Counselor to discuss how applying as a test-optional student may impact your academic scholarship.
- Submit your high school transcript to Benedictine College.
- If you are preparing your own homeschool transcript:
- Create your own transcript using the guidelines in our free Catholic Homeschool Student & Parent Guide to Preparing for College Admission. Your transcript should include your anticipated graduation date (you select the date) and the signature of a homeschooling parent. Any copy of the transcript that is signed by your parent is considered an “Official Transcript” by our Admission staff.
- There are three ways to submit your official homeschool transcript to Benedictine.
- The homeschooling parent may email the official transcript to Benedictine at ravenmail@hwfj-art.com.
- Print the transcript. Sign it, place it in an envelope, seal it, and place the homeschooling parent’s signature over the seal of the envelope. Mail the transcript to:
Benedictine College Office of Admission
1020 N. 2nd Street
Atchison, KS 66002 - Alternatively, you may choose to utilize a program such as FastTranscript, which helps you create your transcript and send it digitally to Benedictine College.
